The 3/4 Pose

While doodling and practicing drawing people (a continual struggle) I decided to give the 3/4 portrait angle a shot. It turned out better than I expected. People-drawing is slowly (very slowly) getting better. Now to get those proportions right…

Tap Shoes

A sketch of my tap shoes I did for a card to my dance studio. Dedicated to the wonderful staff of Yoko’s Dance and Performing Arts Academy. Thank you for all you’ve taught me and so many amazing experiences!

Costume

A scan of a costume/cosplay idea I’ve been tossing around in my head for a while. Doubt I can get it together in time for Halloween, but we’ll see what happens…

I still can’t draw people very well but I suppose that will come with more practice and work. This was enough to capture the main idea of the costume, anyway. As to who it’s a costume of, well…

Princess Luna, My Little Pony. (mlp.wikia.com)

Moonrise – September 22, 2011

I drew this way back in September, near the beginning of the school year, and never got around to scanning it (in part because my old Windows XP computer has since then crashed and the scanning software isn’t readily compatible with Windows 7). Here it is now, hope you enjoy! (I guess my inspiration of astronomy shows through a lot; space seems to have been a frequent subject of mine recently :P)

On Top of Harney Peak – South Dakota – August 7, 2011

The top of Harney Peak, South Dakota, which is the highest point in the USA east of the Rocky Mountains. It was something like a three-hour hike up. Dedicated to my buddies from the 2011 NASA INSPIRE SOLAR Camp at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology!

Brothers

A portrait of my brothers screwing around while waiting for the impressionism exhibit at the de Young museum in San Francisco. I think my little bro (name omitted, heh) came out better than Ryan, because I can’t draw fat very well (sorry Ryan :P)

Original photograph for comparison: (it’s kinda blurry, but it was good enough to sketch from :D)

Additional photos for added hilarity:
