Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve saw my family and family friends at a delicious dinner party with delicious Chinese food, and then touring especially spectacular Christmas light displays (and they were spectacular indeed). We ended the night with a brief walk through Christmas in the Park in San Jose and finally midnight mass at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph, which is an absolutely gorgeous cathedral. Pictures follow:

I really love taking nighttime pictures.

Merry Christmas to everybody, and happy birthday to baby Jesus!

Taken July 23, 2011 at the Carmel Mission and the Carmel-by-the-Sea beach. Both absolutely beautiful places 🙂 I’d almost forgotten how much I loved the beach.

Diocese of Oakland – Cathedral of Christ the Light

Taken June 18, 2011. The architecture of this building is just amazing – it’s definitely worth a visit. Everything has some sort of symbolism, and it’s really cool that there are Bible verses kind of “built into” the cathedral.
