The guy who built this (by himself) modded hardware-store lights to bump up the number of possible colors to 4096, then built and programmed 3000+ of them to make this amazing Christmas-light tree which changes patterns and synchronizes with the music from his own radio station. He wrote all the software himself. (“Oh, about 2000 man-hours,” he said when we asked how long it took.)
